ASAP IS WIN-WIN-WIN!

2018 Fall ASAP is coming! The PTO is busy collecting exciting class ideas for this Spring’s After School Activity Program (ASAP). ASAP is a great way for our STUDENTS to have FUN, be exposed to new topics, and for our ASAP TEACHERS to earn EXTRA MONEY and for the PTO to earn FUNDS for our classrooms.

Please complete the instructor form and return to school by September 14th:

ASAP Instructor Form

The Instructors: YOU!!! We would love to offer ASAP classes taught by the LIES community including teachers’, staff and parents. As an ASAP Instructor, you will be able to choose the class topic, the day it is offered, the maximum number of enrolled students (anywhere from 10-25) and the class age range.

The Class: What is your specialty? What is your favorite topic…crochet, cooking, comic books, sports trivia, cheerleading, classic board games or chess? You name it and we will consider your idea. The PTO will then publish the class line up and register all students for classes. All you need to do is bring your ideas and enthusiasm!

The Dates: The ASAP session will run for 6 weeks, beginning October 30th and ending December 14th. Classes will be held once a week, from 2:50 – 3:50 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

The Pay: Instructors are paid $25 per student enrolled in their 6-week class, with a maximum payment for each class of $400 and a minimum of $200, regardless of enrollment. Want to earn more money? You can teach a class on more than one day if you are interested!

For example you would earn the following:

Cheerleading for K-2, Tuesdays, 16+ students enrolled                                    $400

Cheerleading for 3-5, Thursdays, 16+ students enrolled                                  $400

For a total of $800 for 12 hours’ worth of FUN!!!

The Supplies: The PTO will buy the supplies for all APPROVED ASAP classes. Reimbursement is typically up to $10 per registered child.

The Perks: If you are also a LIES parent, one class fee will be waived for your student(s) and they are ensured the class of their choice.

The Details: Want to teach? Have questions? We would love to hear from you! Fill out the attached form and place it in the PTO mailbox in the front office or email Katie Plys or Julie Garrett at lowesasap@gmail.com.
